קורות חיים | הספד המושב
היום אנו נפרדים בכאב מדאז קורט.
דאז נולד באנגליה ב- 1967 להוריו פאט (פאטרישיה) וג'ון זכרו לברכה.
אח לניק וויקי (ויקטוריה).
בילדותו גדל בסטוק פורט (אזור מנצ'סטר) ובגיל 15 עבר לפנימייה צבאית ושירת בצבא
האנגלי.
בשנת 1991 הגיע לארץ כמתנדב לקבוץ עין השלושה, התאהב בארץ והחליט להישאר.
בהמשך הגיע למושב צופר ועבד בחקלאות ולאחר מכן עבר לעין חצבה.
בשנת 2000 נולד בנו הבכור ג'ון.
את עינב פגש בשנת 2003 ובשנת 2004 עברו לגור יחד במושב עין יהב.
בשנת 2010 נולד בנם ירדן.
במשך השנים נולדו לדאז שני נכדים דיון ואוסטין, החיים באנגליה.
דאז היה אדם חברותי מאוד, שאהב ויזם מפגשי מוסיקה ושתייה עם חברים.
דאז יזכר כבעל ואבא אוהב, חבר מסור, איש שמח שאהב את החיים.

קשה לי להיפרד במילים.
הכרנו לגמרי במקרה לפני 20 ומשהו שנה, באיזו מסיבה כאן במושב.
מבטינו הצטלבו וכך התחילה לה אהבה ממבט ראשון.
אנגלי חתיך, בלונדיני עם עיניים כחולות, חזה רחב, מאוד!, מה עוד אפשר לבקש? 😉
ניסית לעשות רושם של קשוח, אבל עמוק בפנים התחבא אדם רגיש, ילד מפוחד, שנאלץ להתמודד עם חיים לא פשוטים בכלל.
זכיתי לתת לך סוף סוף בית ומשפחה שכל כך הגיעה לך.
תמיד היית מלא שמחת חיים, מוקף בחברים, מסמר הערב.
עם חוש הומור משובח, וידע אינסופי במוזיקה.
מוזיקה היתה כל החיים בשבילך.
מתופף בחסד.
שעות על גבי שעות של נגינה והקשבה למוזיקה בכל הסגנונות והשפות.
אין לי ספק שאם היית בוחר להיות DJ, היה לך ביקוש עצום.
גם השפה ביננו היתה באמצעות מוזיקה, רק ככה ידעת להביע את עצמך.
תמיד ידעת איזה שיר להשמיע, אם זה לעודד את רוחי, אם זה לשחרר את העצב, אם זה סתם לשמוח, אם זה להתנצל על משהו, ואם זה להבהיר לי כמה אתה אוהב אותי.
גם עם אלכוהול היית די חזק 😁
אהבת להשקות את כולם ולראות מי יפול ראשון.
בתור אנגלי בין ישראלים היה ברור מי יפול אחרון... 😉
החברים הקרובים כבר למדו להיזהר ולסרב, אחרת ימצאו את עצמם מתעוררים על הדשא לפנות בוקר ממקלחת של הממטרות, ויגלו שגם טרחת לתעד בתמונות את המאורע המביש...
רק פעם אחת הצלחתי "להחזיר לך" בשם כולם, ואפילו עם תיעוד! 😂

בוחרת לזכור אותך שמח, אנרגטי, שנון, שובב ומקשיב למוזיקה.
תודה על השנים היפות שהיו לנו יחד,
והכי תודה על ירדן!

Daz was one of us.
He was born in Marple or was it Mar-pool, just outside Manchester... to be honest the details are a bit blurry by now, either way: Daz belonged with us, he was IZREALI
He loved the heat, the same way us natives loved the heat, we hate it.
A lot.
So, Dazzo, that kid from Anglesey (I think it was), had a jacuzzi in his yard and on a scorcher 40+ and miserable you’d get a text "Cold one, aye?" and for a few minutes we had cool relief. To be fair, that few minutes Usually escalated in a hurry with the aid of an adult beverage. The man sure had a sense of adventure as every now and then we brought in some - let's say ambiguously sourced meat- to put on the grill. Daz made sure we were all well fed before we stumbled back home.
The boy from Stockport on Trent (that sound about right) Loved his Jeep and his Chevy Suburban and it was clear: nothing better than the V8.
Except that one time when he had a very drunk mechanic (to be named later) having an adventure in which gravity was only a secondary actor. I Remember sitting in the back thinking to myself I've never seen the ground from the side window comes at me so fast. So, no more V8.
Enter the Subaru which could barely carry two average size men (Because let's face it, he and I are average guys) Now, I would like you to imagine a white Subaru rolls into the parking lot of the Muza at high noon, and two average size men struggling to get out of a ridiculously small Japanese car. 2 steaks and one A La Rina later, the same two ordinary men trying to fit a somehow smaller Japanese car but this time they have a cat with them. Yes, Spunky the cat decided to adopt Dazzo so a small white cat with grey balls entered the Subaru.
The boy from Staffordshire (or was it Cheshire) taught us to be Propper gentlemen and ladies, with 5 o’clock tea (beer) and healthy English breakfast (sausage and beer), and how to say cheer in Hebrew- “Fuck haim”. He was a gentleman; I know to that he’d smile and say -
"Oy, fucking hell, nice one, yeah."
Dazzo was a carpenter, a mechanic, and a handyman, but most of all he was a man from the Arava who made life a bit more interesting and funnier.
Daz loved Einav and Yardan, he loved John and was proud of him and his journey in life.
Yes, he was not well lastly, but we remember him as one of us, and we will mis him.

Daz was one of us. When he decided to make Israel his home, he might have been distant in miles, but never in our hearts or minds.
His stubbornness could be exhausting at times — but it was part of his charm. He was always entertaining, always ready with a quote from Naked Gun or Airplane! His lack of a social filter could make some people uncomfortable, but never us. We laughed together — loudly, often, and from the gut.
We loved him like a brother. He didn’t need much from us, but we all knew that if we ever needed him, he’d be there — no hesitation, no questions asked. Back in the day, when things got rough, you could always count on the big man to be by your side. Nothing ever fazed him, and he didn’t suffer fools. A Viking through and through.
Together, we’ve lost a big character in our eclectic group of friends — a man impossible to replace. We’ll mourn him together, the only way we know how: with stories, laughter, and maybe a pint or two raised in his honour.
See you in the great pub on the other side, brother.
